Every Which Way But Witch?

I have pic-monkeyed. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

WHAT I’M WEARING:  Keeping up my pledge of nothing but Halloween costumes until the holiday!  This time I’m featuring the Willow Witch costume from Crickets.  It’s a complete costume: Hat, Clothes, Boots,… Even the broomstick with a flying animation, the face piercings, and a tattoo layer with the goth mascara run.  My shape is the old stand by, the Kids5B ‘Gigi’ teen.  My skin is a green skin that came with another witch outfit, the Lil Witch Complete Avatar from UK Couture (free on marketplace with that link!).  I needed short hair to go with the hat, so I went with one of my favorites, Whisky I in dark brown from Loq hairs.  And of course, I like to accessorize a little, so I added some silver hoop earrings, source unknown, and the pumpkin sunglasses from Old Dirty Bastard’s.  Sexy and spooky and a little bit punk… perfect!

It’s just a bit of a bug problem….

WHERE I’M AT: I got all excited, because when I logged on to take some pictures, my top notecard, from just 15 minutes before, referred to an event in a special haunted venue at my favorite night club, Carnal Oasis.  Sadly, the notecard was 12 hours and 15 minutes old, not 15 minutes old, so the venue was empty, deserted, practically haunted.  But there were still all the pose goodies and decorations, so I snap-shotted away with mad abandon.

I feel wicked. I also feel westerly…

WHAT’S ON MY MIND: I want to first quote something my friend said in a recent blog entry.  (Go read the whole thing here… I’ll wait.)

BTW, a friend mentioned to me how unsettling it is that I refer to my different skins as ‘she’ whenever I’m not wearing my usual skin (Lana from Belleza). I’m not a skin-changer, I only do it for posts. So most times I identify as my Lana skin so when I change skins, I automatically refer to my avatar in third-person. Is that weird? Do you guys have the one skin you use exclusively when not blogging, or are you a serial skin changer? And what other skin stores should I look at?

Now, in order…

Yes, it is weird.  However I love you to pieces, weirdness and all, so don’t ever change.  Heck, I refer to my First Life self in the third person and claim to have a bifurcated soul, so I think we can admit that we’re all mad here, and your weirdnesses are excused.  Just keep writing lovely blogs for us to read, and all will be forgiven.

I am a serial skin and shape changer.  I generally change each time I blog anew and then run with that shape until the next blog.  That said, I frequently return to the GiGi I’m wearing now and I tend to prefer pale/milk colored skins.

I’ll list four stores for you.  WoW Skins is my personal favorite.  Although they are a little pricy, if you pay to join the group you will get a lot of great freebies and bargains.  Egoxentrikax is a clothing store, but they have some very good shapes and skins I’ve frequently used in my entries.  *JStyle is another clothing store, but, particularly if you join the free group, you will be flooded with outfits and complete avatars.  Not quite as good as WoW or Ego, but very good for free.  Finally, although I can’t give any personal opinion, since they are still on my “I need to try this sometime” list, our mutual friend Shae swears by Seven Deadly Skins ([7DS]) and I’ve seen plenty of good blog for them.
